How to Become a Follower of Jesus?
We were all created with a purpose. The goal is to live life in the pursuit of discovering and understanding that purpose. It all begins when we realize that “in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Once you recognize that you were fearfully and wonderfully made you can change your entire life by allow Jesus to become your Lord and Savior. Below are the three things that need to happen for this life changing event to occur:
Admit your current condition before God – “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23”.
Believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only solution to your condition – “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life – Romans 6: 23”
Choose to follow Christ as your Savior and Lord- “I tell you whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life- John 5:24”
Prayer for Salvation
Dear God, thank you for sending your son, Jesus Christ, to earth. I believe Jesus is who he said he is and came to do what he said he would do. I believe Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of your throne. I believe Jesus came for me and his sacrifice cleanses me from all unrighteousness. I want to discover your plan for my life and follow your will for me. Thank you Jesus for dying for me and saving me. Thank you for forgiving me from all of my sins. Thank you for accepting me as your child. Accept me now into your everlasting, eternal kingdom.
